Our Mumbai , being an island ,is naturally blessed with surrounding sea-shore.
The sea-route should be utilised for water transport through catamarans, motor-boats, launches,ferries etc..This will reduce the traffic on roads .
People traveling to and from city-suburbs will have the option of either the sea-route or the road-way. Commuting by public transport such as trains, buses,autos and taxis will become comfortable due to less crowd. The lesser number of vehicles on road will result in decreasing the air pollution.
The beaches spread over Gateway of India, Marine Lines, Girgaon, Dadar, Bandra, Juhu, Versowa, Madh, Manori, Marve, Gorai should be revamped with water amusement parks. These water amusement park could be equipped with water-surfing, diving, joy-rides etc.
The 'Clean Mumbai, Green Mumbai' campaign should be relaunched in earnest with active support from school, colleges, n.g.o.s to plant saplings all over Mumbai.
Spitting and littering in public places must be prohibited legally.
The culprits must be fined with stiff penalty as in Singapore.
